Vinyl Siding

Most types of vinyl siding are straight forward to install. You'll find it easy to make square cuts on most types of horizontal siding using a mitre saw and square. Your greatest challenge will be locating studs to fasten the product unless your house uses plywood or OSB sheathing.  With careful planning, layout, and a few working guidelines we will provide, you will master your siding job and finish with a beautiful exterior.

Eco-Island Siding

While this is not a DIY product (because we manufacture it on site to custom fit for each home), we include it here because <Eco-Island Siding> http://protechvi.com/siding.html is low maintenance, cost effective, and made with steel. This LEEDs points qualifying product uses 35% recycled content, is 100% recyclable, and is very long lasting. When you factor in the low maintenance cost and long-life cycle (we warrantee it for 30 years), this is a very affordable product well worth considering.

Gutters

We manufacturer Aluminum, steel and cooper rain gutters K style or Fascia styles, custom steel downspouts, copper, galvanized and steel gutters in half round style, and downpipes in 2 x 3, 2 5/8 x 2 5/8, 3 x 4 (special order), 3" round galvanized, 3" round aluminum, and square custom downpipes. When you are installing gutters, there are many tricks of the trade we can help with. Make sure you inspect the fascia and soffit for signs of rotten wood. You will need to replace it before you put up gutters. Any untreated problem will cause you problems far sooner than you think.  Many houses have a trim board or crown molding nailed to the fascia just under the shingles. You’ll have to either remove this or add a continuous strip of wood under it to create a flat plane for the gutters. Make sure you prime and paint before you hang your new gutters.

Deck, Patio, or Deck Cover

Building a new deck or patio? Your deck design and scope is limited only by your imagination! Deck covers are an excellent way to expand your outdoor areas of your home so you can use them in any weather. Our patio and deck covers are constructed of top quality materials, utilize V-pan construction, and can be modified to fit any space and shape.

Two quick tips: When installing a deck, patio, or deck cover, we suggest you work with a friend. You will need to lift and hold in place large sections – a difficult task if you’re working alone. If you plan to secure your decking with footings, make sure there are no cables or pipes where you want to dig.
